It's a start-up that's just started making a little noise called Wowd.  Real-time search is great, but what these companies lack is the ability to get coverage across the entire web.  They can index a small set of target sites well, but what Wowd's does extremely well, is deliver real-time results of what's most popular across the entire web.  Their P2P architecture allows for them to scale efficiently and effectively as well as get real-time coverage from any and all sites in their "cloud."
