VentureBeat: WhoDoYouKnowAt: A more exclusive, private LinkedIn

  • leeblaylock · 1 month ago
Thanks Camille for the comments on WhoDoYouKnowAt! More private than LinkedIn, yes but more "in-company" focused rather than exclusive. We love LinkedIn for open networking, but because we are not recruiters, most of our networking is done in a less open setting where we need a real referral, plus our contacts in Outlook are often times out of date so we came up with Contact Data Integrity Management and have had fun watching people "get it!"

Too difficult registration: 3 security questions ! and wrong password characteristics.

Just checked out this site on the latest version of FireFox. Readability was very poor. The fonts are small and blury. That won't help with older users or anyone with less than perfect vision. Tough to overlook a simple issue like that. Agree with earlier comment on signup. And I never received my confirmation email.

I went through with the Quick Registration option and didn't experience those difficulties. On the whole, I think the concept offers a unique way to supplement your open networking efforts and leverage your "trusted" relationships.

It could be especially valuable for companies with that whole "In-Company" deal when you register with your business address.

Thank you all for your comments. We appreciate the feedback! As a new company, your insights are extremely valuable to us.

We're working on making registration easier on you, but when you choose to register, you can select the "Quick Registration" feature to use a much shorter form and set up just 1 security question.

Your contacts and relationships are important, which is why we have the option of setting up 3 security questions.

If you have any trouble, please email us at support@whodoyouknowat.com, and we will be more than happy to assist you.
