    How come when Clearwire is discussed, Portland and Baltimore are usually mentioned, but not Nashville where I live? I've been using Clearwire since November 2007 for Internet and telephone/

    Because Nashville is not WiMAX but the earlier proprietary Expedience network.

    I had no idea. When I first got the service, I googled and found Clearwire may have gotten the Nashville location from AT&T when AT&T acquired Bell South and had to dispose of some sites. And that it was using the Motorola Expedience technology. I assumed that Expedience was just another way of providing WiMax. I wonder what the future lies in store. Thanks for letting me know.
