Unfortunately if you follow the comments on the linked site the people posting they have Jaspers are offering up no evidence whatsoever, and most fall back to saying 'oh I assume because of the date it is a Jasper'.
No-one has actually opened one up yet and checked to see if they really have one.

It is difficult to come back to the 360. Yes they have great games, but dealing with their hardware, finding out to see if this is the "Jasper" model while at Best Buy makes the experience less compelling.

That could easily be read as: "they cut their prices by$50, and the current price is $79". It could have been written more clearly.

Sadly, the article in question has been de-bunked by many people and the rumours are unfounded. Most of the people on that link have actually stated that the "assume" that they have a Jasper due to the rumours about them shipping late August.
Unfortunately I fear we will not see the Jasper in the wild for at least another month. Altough the recent price cuts (they hit in the UK too! (you should see some of the amazing offers this side of the Atlantic)) should clear out some of the old Falcon inventories. I have been following these developments for so long now that I know I MUST wait until the Jaspers are confirmed.
They must be close or else the recent price cuts will be biting Microsofts bottom line.

i have the Jasper. and its much more reliable loads faster. the only problem is a bit more noise because it emits more heat but you can play for hours on it. i usually play abou 3 hours and let it cool down for 20-30 minutes then you ca easely play again for 3 hours
