    Liked your report, very informative, but there is no information on whether this SIM based Skype service uses the 3G voice connection for the wireless link (the iSkoot and Skype Lite architecture) or the 3G data connection.

    Seems to me a fundamental point but no one is discussing it.

    On asking 3UK PR I got the following email response:

    Good observation, Alan. We also wondered about that as it's the big question as you say.

    Update: We were only able to obtain the information that the service runs on a circuit switched network.

    Yeah , i believe that this is no threat to carrier services in UK ..since they have their set of customers base.
