Muckraker Anthony is trying to ruin my film reputation! What I meant by the "charade" was that Google and Yahoo were pretending like they were only *trying out* the deal when it was clear from the beginning that they would definitely run into it full-force if it would throw off Microsoft -- at least partially, that worked.

But yes, it did end in marriage. Well played Anthony.

I still don't understand Yahoo's overall plan.

Their executives are jumping ship like rats.

At least there's upward mobility for some of their internal people...because who would want to come into Yahoo from the outside now?
