Does Avatar represent the future of movies? Maybe not
What struck me (slapped me?) was the amount of screen space they gave the new feature, pushing the features I liked into small sidebar boxes.
This is a definite change in direction. I know some MBL insiders are saying they've been working on this for awhile, but it just feels so much like that other Yahoo fiasco - dumping (modestly successful if always buggy) Y!360 for the Facebook-clone Yahoo! Mash.
Not everything needs to be Facebook. Not every service needs to be a social networking service (SNS). I have some SNSs - including Facebook - and don't want another. I want (wanted?) that other thing MBL was.
Since MBL isn't doing that other thing anymore, I decided there wasn't much point in me providing them with content.
