VentureBeat: Yahoo considers sale of shopping service Kelkoo, after bad performance

I think it's unfair to call Kelkoo the "king of spam" as after all it did and still does provide people with a place to see the cheapest price for the product they want to buy. An ad for Zanussi Fridge going to a kelkoo price comparison result is hardly spam.

Kelkoo still has over 75% of the price comparison market in the UK (hitwise UK) so can hardly been said to have "lost" the game.

Saying that, I admit they have not innovated for many years especially since the Yahoo acquisition - and this is because all the founders and real visionary's left (bar one).

The fact that Yahoo hasn't made it work says more about them than it does Kelkoo - i.e., Yahoo don't "get" ecommerce and europe.

Since eBay recently raised its fees and is going to be changing the feedback system, the number one rule for selling on eBay is this: have other streams of income. Check out my eBay selling tutorial.
